What is an Electronic Cigarette?
An Electronic Cigarette or "E-Cig" is a device that produces a water-based vapour which tastes and feels like a real cigarette. The vapour delivers nicotine when inhaled but does not contain tar or the thousands of other toxic and carcenogenic chemicals which are inhaled when smoking a traditional tobacco cigarette.
The vapour quickly dissipates in the air when expelled, leaving no nasty odours or any risks associated with passive smoking. Electronic cigarettes are not subject to smoking bans and can be legally used indoors or in public places.
Smarter Smokes e-cigs provide a healthier alternative to smoking at a price up to 70% cheaper than the cost of traditional cigarettes.
If you are a smoker who hasn't yet experienced the authentic feel and satisfaction that an e-cig can bring, you will be amazed at what you've been missing.
How does it work?
There are a number of components to an e-cigarette but most modern devices typically come in two parts:
- The Cartomizer contains a supply of e-liquid and an "atomizer" which turns this into vapour when heated. The e-liquid can be of various flavours and nicotine strengths depending on your individual preference and smoking habits. Each cartomizer lasts for the equivalent of between 10 and 20 traditional cigarettes depending on how heavily they are used. Smarter Smokes Cartomizers are not designed for refilling and should be replaced when empty.
- The Battery provides the power to heat the atomiser. It contains a sensor that activates the battery when you inhale on the e-cig. A small LED light glows at the end of the battery when activated.
At Smarter Smokes we rigourously test our products and only supply electronic cigarettes and refills of the highest quality, using the latest technology available.
Will it stop me Smoking?
Electronic cigarettes are a satisfying, healthier alternative to smoking tobacco cigarettes, especially for those times when you aren't able to smoke in the conventional sense.
While anecdotal evidence from our customers would suggest that the use of e-cigs can greatly reduce or eliminate the desire for tobacco cigarettes, there have been insufficient studies undertaken into their use as a smoking cessation device or as a valid nicotine replacement therapy (NRT).
Remember that e-cigs do still deliver nicotine to you (unless nicotine-free liquid is used) and so are unlikely to reduce nicotine addiction.
